In Feb 2015 One year old Jabrick was stolen as her mother was being killed. Jabrick was very skinny, weak and severely malnourished after being fed on a diet of condensed milk by her ‘surrogate parents’ (local villagers). later Jabrick was surrendered to COP Borneo (an orangutan rehabilitation centre in North East Kalimantan, Borneo). An orangutan baby in the wild can suckle from their mother for up to 8yrs and so JABRICKÂ was denied the many antibodies and nutrients normally absorbed from Mum.
In Late December, 2015, Jabrick caught the flu and given her weakened immune system sadly passed away on 15th January, 2016 and climbed her highest tree yet.
RIP Jabrick you will live on through this Palm Oil Free Certification Trademark, and WE will never forget you.
