PALM OIL FREE CERTIFICATION TRADEMARK
The International Palm Oil Free Certification Trademark (POFCAP) is a World First, independent, not for profit International Palm Oil Free Certification Trademark and approved to certify products and companies in twenty three countries and 15 territories with applications pending in others as of Aug 2023. POFCAP is managed by a team of people who have been involved with researching palm oil ingredients since 2009.
The baby orangutan featured on the Certification Trademark is JABRICK. Jabrick is the inspiration behind this Palm Oil Free Certification Trademark? This Certification Trademark is dedicated to her & the thousands of fauna who have lost their lives due to deforestation & habitat destruction.
In Feb 2015 One year old Jabrick was stolen as her mother was being killed. Jabrick was very skinny, weak and severely malnourished after being fed on a diet of condensed milk by her ‘surrogate parents’ (local villagers) and was later surrendered to COP Borneo (an orangutan rehabilitation centre in North East Kalimantan, Borneo). An orangutan baby in the wild can suckle from their mother for up to 8yrs and so JABRICK was denied the many antibodies and nutrients normally absorbed from Mum.
In Late December, 2015, Jabrick caught the flu and given her weakened immune system sadly passed away on 15th January, 2016 and climbed her highest tree yet.
RIP Jabrick you will live on through this Palm Oil Free Certification Trademark, and WE will never forget you.
